Tucson Young Professionals’ First Fridays continues to offer up unique perspectives on pop culture and Downtown Tucson with First Fridays’ latest event, “Tucson Birthday Party,” coming this Friday, August 6th. Voted as 2010’s “Best People and Organization” by Tucson Lifestyle magazine, First Fridays’ “Birthday Party” night aims to stimulate all of the senses, seamlessly weaving together art, music, dance and social commentary.

The 29th edition of First Fridays, this August 6th from 8pm to 12am, will showcase the best that Downtown Tucson has to offer while providing the opportunity for adults of all ages to network and socialize in a unique atmosphere. The evening starts off with a Tucson Trivia Ice Breaker during the networking reception from 8 to 9pm, including a raffle from local businesses and appetizers from 47 Scott.
From 9pm to midnight, the “Birthday Party” theme continues with local performance art/dance and cultural activities celebrating Tucson heritage including a performance by the Tucson Bagpipers and live art by John Prellwitz. Partygoers can enjoy cupcakes from Red Velvet Cupcakery while having the unique opportunity to participate in Tucson’s Best Margarita and Salsa competition choosing from great Tucson favorites like El Parador and Macayo’s to some new outstanding places like Blanco Taco, Starr Pass and Boca, and of course the onsite Café A La C’Art! Fox Tucson Theatre will be raffling off 2 incredible ticket packages worth over $500 and giving away 2 free movie passes for each person who enters the drawing!
